The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund has set itself a challenge to raise £6 million by the 350th anniversary of the Royal Marines in 2014, so that it can provide long-term support for marines and their families in need.
The fund offers help to the wounded, particularly as the most severely injured begin their transition into civilian life.
Assistance is also given to those still serving and facing successive tours in high threat environments. Adventure training for those returning from operations, homecoming events, memorials, etc are also funded, as are grants to the next-of-kin of those who die on active service.
One of the many fund-raising events being held this year is an evening of spirit communication with mediums John Alexander, Ian Weston and Pam Pasotti.
The evening will take place on Friday April 15 at the Royal Naval Association Club, Blackfan Road, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire AL7 1HA. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7:30pm start. Tickets cost £10 and include a buffet. Advance bookings only. Tickets are available from Pam Pasotti by phone on: 07958 602 131, or by e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
